Subject: Triathlon Watch/Heart Rate Monitor for WOMEN!?
I am in the market for a new heart rate monitor/triathlon watch. I have previously used a Polar (can't remember the model number), but I believe it was aimed more for cycling and was pretty basic (still liked it though).

I have been looking for a good heart rate monitor/triathlon watch for women, and only seem to be coming upon huge ones for men, and I would like something smalled on my wrist.

Any suggestions? Help!!!

Timex makes ones that are not ginormous - that's what I have. It's the size of a regular sports watch. It's doesn't have a multisport package, though - ie, it's just a heart rate monitor - no cadence sensor, no GPS.

The new Garmin 405 is a more manageable size, but I hear it is far inferior to the 305 (which is like a small TV strapped to your wrist).

This is the one I have, and I got it for my sister for Christmas, too. I see it is out of stock on Amazon, but you might be able to find it somewhere else. It is a great size, and fits my tiny wrist well.

Yup - that's the one I have. Except mine isn't a pretty blue! It's just black and grey. I got mine at REI.

Take a look at Suunto heart rate monitors.. they're pretty decent looking and come in a range of colours.

I have a timex. It is the same size as the regular IM watch.
