I am stationed in Germany and wondering if there is anyone else in Germany that can introduce me to all three sports. I enjoy biking a lot; would like to take my running more seriously and I suck at swimming, I can stay afloat, and freestyle in my own sloppy way. Drop me a line if you are interested in pulling me along.

Not in Germany...but I wish I was!

So can't help you there, but thought I would say hello and welcome and ask...you wouldn't happen to be in the Air Force would you?

Although I`m not in Germany, I am in a foreign country (Japan), and I have found that training can be fun and interesting even if you have to do it on your own. Use your workouts as an opportunity to explore your surroundings and appreciate the little things that you can`t during your normal daily routine. Good Luck!

-Also, if you need motivation, this site is incredible.

Welcome, don't worry about the swimming it will come along, I use to beat up the water. It was a bad day for the water and me when it was swim day. I found out that it is all about form and technique. Now I look forward to the swim days. You may want to look at the web site totalimmersion.net for a look at how easy swimming can be. Good luck and keep at it.

Hi Armyrn,

How long you staying in Heidelberg as i'm going there for 2 weeks at the beginning of july. I will have completed 2 sprint tri's by july. Perhaps you could let me know the best places to train, or maybe train together if you want.

Any info would be great.

Can you tell me a little about Germany? My wife just found out that we'll be going to Garmisch in December '05 and I would love to find some people there to train with.

I recently got back from Germany ...I was there for 9 months and it was great, but the biking was pretty bad where I was (just tons of traffic everywhere). But other parts of Germany were beautiful and I hitched a ride here and there to get out of town and had some good biking there.

Also - to the one that is stationed in Japan - where are you at? I was in Japan for a year, near Nagoya. I loved it and have considered going back after I graduate but don't know if I can find a place to live with good biking
