Setup Events - Races for 2009

Just got an email about registration for 2009 races.  Thought it was really interesting what they are doing with the White Lake Half.  They are putting the race on two weekends in a row so that they can have more participants since the park limits the number of people who can race.  Kind of cool!!

White Lake to move to two weekends in 2009:

The White Lake Half and Sprint Triathlons will be held on two weekends in 2009. The event dates will be as follows:

White Lake Half – May 2 (Sat)
White Lake Sprint – May 3 (Sun)
White Lake Half – May 9 (Sat)
White Lake Sprint – May 10 (Sun)

 We’re doing this as a way of being able to increase the number of people who can participate in the events, The NC State Park folks will not allow us to have more than 900 people on any one day, so by expanding to two weekends we can enable more people to race. The race caps will actually be reduced in 2009 to 700 per race/per day.
