Swim

  • 800 yards
  • 02m 13s / 100 yards
Comments:

Includes T1 time. This was a typical swim time for me. I felt great on exit of pool with plenty of energy left for rest of race.
What would you do differently?:

Do flip turns for the whole race. Improve stroke and endurance so that a faster time could be obtained.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Time for TI included in swim time. First transition of this type and I think it went well for not haveing any experience before hand.
What would you do differently?:

Bring stool to sit on to make puting socks on easier.
Bike
  • 1h 24m 37s
  • 23.24 miles
  • 16.48 mile/hr
Comments:

This was a great ride and I finished far soon then I though I was going to.
What would you do differently?:

Work on going up hills faster.
Transition 2
  • 02m 19s
Comments:

This was a farly good transisiton but toes were numb so I could not put running shoes on without a little more effort. I was pretty tired after ride and it greatly affected transition.
Run
  • 38m 19s
  • 4 miles
  • 09m 35s  min/mile
Comments:

This was an awesome run time for me after the swim and bike. I only stoped to walk for about 5 ins of the total race.
What would you do differently?:

Work on hills and fatigued runs.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around finish area while streatching out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Endurance lvl.

Event comments:

Good beginner race. This was an awesome Race for me and I far exceded my expectations of finishing the race in the time that I did. I cant wait to do another.

Hey a Poly guy! Good to see you here. I went there many moons ago, and, as a matter of fact, was one of the first officers of the Triathlon Club. I was the Secretary. I didn't do any tri's, but it was a fledgling club with about 30 members and my roommate and High School buddy was Pres or VP. I can't remember which. I basically was in charge of collecting and distributing money. I did do the run portion of a relay at Wildflower one year. Anyhow, had to give you a shout after I saw your race report.

I wanted to say HI on Saturday, but didn't see you until you were about to start your swim. Looks like you had a great race. Good Luck on your next race!
