Instead of training yesterday I went sledding with my family. Wow, now I know why I am training. I have never felt so great running, not jogging, not walking, not dying, up and down the hill with my kids. And here I thought I was training for a tri.

Cross-training is always a good thing!<img align='middle' src='https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/smile.gif'>

Wow that sounds so much fun! I agree with everyone: cross-training is really awesome. I love when I get a chance to just play sports for fun with people. A lot of times they tell me, "My GOSH you're so fast!" and that was before I started training for the tri. Ahh....lovely lovely.
FYI: I think it's great that it's snowing somewhere whilst it's sitting around 75 degrees down her in the south. Yay warm weather!

I am wondering what 75 degrees feels like.  It is snowing here again today.  I can't wait to walk out of the Y after my lunch hour swim to warm weather.  Walking across the mamoth parking lot in the cold, wind, snow is getting very very old.

Ahhh...75 degrees, fair skies, and a bit of breeze. If I had the resources, I would send you a sample of this divine weather to contrast "mammoth land." (hahaha) Maybe stand in your house, turn up the heat, then use the cool setting on a hair dryer--it could work!

Still trying to figure out what "snow" is.  Isn't that the stuff that grows in the freezer when it needs to get cleaned out?  Or is it the stuff they truck in at Christmas time for the kids to play in?  Low 70's with the scent of orange blossoms in the air.  AAHHHHH!
