I purchased a Aquasphere swim mask and was excited about it's possibilities. (better vision, no more racoon eyes, better seal, less pressure). However, everytime I use them they fog up within 10 minutes. I have tried the anti fog liquid but that has not helped. I am wondering if this problem stems from the fact that my body temp rises pretty quickly (I am a sweater) and since the mask covers more of my face, it is fogging up more then my goggles do.
Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Kathleen

A bit of baby shampoo with water rubbed in the night before. Drain them out, dry overnight, good to go the next morning.

well i don't know what to say cuz they are new.  I wear speedo vanquishers, and when they start fogging up all the time, i get a new pair.  I get annoyed with trying spit, and all the other home remedies.

I once heard that toothpaste works. Remember to fully wipe it off after you wipe it.

Reason I only wear AquaSphere Kaimans is because the "anti-fog" actually works. Wears off after about 6 months and then time for new pair. Of all the tri expenses, The $20 or less investment 2x a year is worth every penny. Not sure about the mask though, never tried it.

Good luck.

Toothpaste can be abresive so be careful.  I find a good wash and rinse with  Dawn dish soap before I use them works well.

Spit works for me.  Just use a lot and bring it up from the back.

No green stuff.

x2  This is the best solution I've found...you don't even have to do it the night before...you can do it right before you swim.  Just buy the little bottle and put a small drop in each lens and rinse, shake out and go swimming.

The only bummer is you have to do just about every swim....

I too wear Vanquishers'.  After about 3 months, they started fogging badly.  Per the instructions, from day one I rinsed them after each swim (before leaving the locker room even) and dried them.  The 1st 3 months was sweet though with no fogging at all.

Will give the baby shampoo thing a try.

Doesn't even have to be baby shampoo.  I use the same mask and before each swim put a squirt of the gym shower soap in them, rub it around, rinse it out and it works fine.  1 less tihng to forget = good for me!

I use spit, and it works fine. The two signs I have that tell me it's time for new goggles are A) they don't seal right any more or B) spit doesn't work and they fog.

Spit does not work for me.

I use scuba mask anti fog gel. It says right on the bottle not to use it for swim goggles, so I know it must be good.

The trick is to not follow the directions. The directions says to rub in with fingers then rinse. I skip the rince. Works like a charm.

That could certainly be a factor. Everyone's body pushes blood to its parts differently. I'm a heavy sweater as well and for some reason my extremities put of stupid amounts of heat. Moist heat on one side of glass with cold on the other and it's going to tend to fog.

Spit is the miracle cure for foggy goggles. I have Vanquishers and they started fogging after a week! Spit is the answer !!!!

baby shampoo works great for me. I smear a little bit on each lens and then rinse it off right before I swim. Never had a problem. Regardless of what you use, the real purpose is to clean the lens and thoroughly as possible. A clean lens will not fog as easily.

As a scuba diver and from working in a dive store, you need to clean the inside of the mask. The companys put some protective cover on the inside of the masks. I assume your Aqua Sphere is more of a mask rather than goggles. Aqua Sphere is also owned by AquaLung who is one of the leaders in scuba dive gear and masks. When you buy a new mask you should always clean the inside with some of the products mentioned in posts above. Plain white toothpaste works well as does dawn dish washing detergent. A little on the inside of the mask, rinse with water, and repeat once or twice should work. After you clean them the first time like this than you can use spit, baby shampoo or other anti fog products. If you don't do this the mask will usually fog up no matter what you do to it.

Might be obvious but you never know. Make sure you don't pull them off your face and rest it on your forehead or top of the head. It will fog for sure.
