I won't be in.  Kids basketball is domineering and IM training will be starting.  No time for challenges for the rest of this year.  Sorry.

So does that mean you will not be swimming?

I think it means no time for post padding, and what's a challenge without post padding?!?
I just can't imagine a world without Phil's post padding in it....

It's happened before.  The world won't stop, hell won't freeze over, etc. etc.

No, but now Rudedog is seriously depressed.......

Because now we are going to win.

Sorry, Rudy, that I won't be there for the challenge.

To answer the smack for the boyzzzzzz, I'll just throw in a raspberry and a smarmy comment -
pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffttttttttt.   Yeah, right!

WHAT?????

NOT DOING THE CHALLENGE...

SO YOUR NOT GONNA HAVE THE OPERATION AFTER ALL.

WAAAAAAAAAAH.  [thats me having a temper tantrum]

i wanted Phil to be a girl so he could be on my team.

WAAAAAAAAAAH.

stomping feet.

crossed arms.

:P  plfffft.

i will sincerely miss your schmarminess sir phillip.

Yup, that's the reason your post count is so low.

Is that a hint of sarcasm and a shot of wit I sense, dear?

Okay.  Here's the deal.

I have 2 kids on a traveling basketball team.  The place is almost 40 min. away from home.  They either have a practice or game or an age-appropriate fitness class on Sun., Mon., Tues., Wed., and Thurs., and a tournament on Sat. and/or Sun.

Now, with IM training coming up, that's going to be quite a lot of schedule shifting.

Add to that, I found out that my pool will be closed starting May 17 until June 7 or so.  BASTAGES!

So, the only thing I can think of is getting in 10 swim workouts, minimum of 500 yards in per workout, before May 17th.

Is that acceptable?  You make the call.

Now that you put it that way.  No one needs more stress added to the stress. I don't think it is worth getting wet.

I think you should focus on your kids and getting to the pool for a more quality swim.  Any open water close by? I know it is probably still cold.

Is it too late to join. I'm a swimming machine. HA! That really is a joke, but I  am at the pool 3 x a week on average so maybe I can help to kick some boy booty.

Uh so can I say I'll swim for 8 hours this month? Not all at once. That would be just ridiculous.  Right?

Ok, I finally have a goal. I'll swim 18,000 yards. I may be able to increase this when I get my second half schedule, but for now it's a conservative estimate based on what my coach planned for the first two weeks. I don't start swimming until sometime next week, but my swims are all long so I'll catch up quickly!
