Just got an email this am from 4 Peaks racing.

The recent warmer weather has increased the pH of Tempe Town Lake to above acceptable levels conducive for swimming. This is nothing unusual and would ordinarily be treated, not unlike a swimming pool, to reduce the pH. However, recent rains have increased the current flow through Tempe Town Lake. This makes it difficult to treat the water, as any treatment would simply flow over the west dam. Due to this situation it is necessary to cancel the Splash & Dash scheduled for Thursday April 16 at 6:00pm. Any entry fees paid may be either refunded or transferred to a future Splash & Dash, please contact us with your preference.

  • Friday April 24 @ 6pm (Swim 750/Run 4km)
  • Thursday May 7 @ 6pm (Swim 500/Run 5km)
  • Friday May 15 @ 6pm (Swim 1000/Run 3km) - Post race at Montis

So, any Cool Kids going to be out at Saguaro this thursday night???? I need OWS!!!
