Howdy all!
I promised myself I'd do a triathlon when I turned 30, and it's just snuck up on me. I rowed in college and swam in high school, but I've let my CV drop over the last few years as I messed around with rock climbing (and bikes, and desk job, and booze). Also put on about 30# from my previous racing weight, 10 of which I've lost in the last 3 weeks since I started using my rowing machine again. I plan on racing a half dozen or so sprints this summer and one Olympic if I can fit it in the schedule. I'm looking for people to run and bike with in south Seattle, just base miles until May.

Welcome aboard Joe. Wow, 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Who knew rowing could be so good for you! Keep up the good work.

Hi sawyer,

Funny how that 30 does sneak up on a person...same thing happened to me this year! Welcome to the site and congrats on your weight loss so far. I am planning to do five sprints this summer, and was wondering if that was too many, so I'm glad to see that someone else is doing a similar number. I won't be squeezing in an Olympic anywhere, though! ha ha

Welcome Sawyer -- good luck with your races. I live north of Seattle, but would not volunteer to run with you even if I did live south --- my running, as they say --- sucks. And I would not want to subject anyone to me as a running partner.

Glad you found us here. You will like it.

    Welcome
I made a similar goal of IM distance by 30. So I have a season or two of the shorter distances before it gets me!
    Best of Luck!
