Subject: SMP Saddles???
Hi,

So due to getting numbness in the general area you don't want numbness, I went out and brought a profile design tri styke. Anyway this helped and I did a couple of half ironmans but still get numbness 45 mins into ride.

So my latest buy was a SMP composite saddle. Fantastic, no more numbness but now I am getting very sore on my butt bones.

Does anyone have experience with these saddles:

Is it due to very little padding on the saddle, and would I benefit from swapping to something like the SMP evolution?

Thanks, any info would be great.

Last year I rode the SMP Pro and this year I changed to the Glider.

Pro solves many of my issues with saddle but was a little wide and rubbed on the back of my thigh at times and the Glider is same shape but not as wide and a little shorter. I love the design as my soft tissue doesn't touch the saddle at all. My husband is using the Pro and so far likes it.

I'm not sure about the composite as it has zero padding.

I don't think the padding is the issue but more the large cut off that makes it more comfortable for me.
