Sorry, I'm late again! Been on a working vacation... New York was great (especially the city, and the Broadway Show 'Shrek', and Times Square). Got into Mass. yesterday, and will be leaving Sunday morning. Despite all the food options and the non-stop eating, I'm still sub-180. Weighed in this morning at 177.8.

Other news: I locked in my 2 A's and a B for a 3.666 GPA this last qtr. That also means I made the Dean's list again. Out of the last six qtrs, there was only one in which I didn't make the Dean's list (Winter qtr--got straight B's). Overall finished with a 3.6875 GPA, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'll receive my 2nd degree here in a couple of wks...

Goodnight everyone!

Congrats Josh! Well done!

pancakefrank - 2009-06-22 11:05 PM Had a rough weekend, actually a real rough weekend. At no point between Friday 1 pm and Sunday morning was I legally aloud to drive. I ate unhealthy, drank too much. Vegetables, what are those? On Sunday I weighed myself, gained eight pounds since Wednesday. It was worth it. We sank my boat, how funny is that? Now back to business, see you at the weigh in.

I hope you didn't sink your boat while you were drunk. As someone who has lost a friend due to other people drinking and boating, I really don't think that's very funny at all.

But stepping off my soapbox, I'm sure those eight pounds aren't all fat. Once you detox a bit from your weekend, I'm sure you'll find yourself back closer to where you were before.

Confession:

I just ate a bag of gummie bears.

I thought confessing would make me feel better...it didn't.

lol - happy to oblige - consider your butt kicked back into gear!

I had a couple of 12" pizzas this week but still managed to lose 4lb putting me ahead of my target weekly loss - tho' should have been better...

start = 286
week1 = 282.4
week2 = 283.0
week3 = 279.0

I've decided to take a couple weeks off from food monitoring and weigh-ins! I'm still on Team Skinny and will report with a weight for the end of the month/beginning of July, but I'm starting to get a bit obsessive about it all and want to step back for a little bit.

Good luck to all this week! One more week to go before the end of the month...

No problem,  Obsession is a bad thing unless you are wearing it.  We will be here when you come back.

weigh in this morning, 207.8....yeeehaw! Getting there. I was afraid this week was going to be a challenge after the weekend I had, but I managed to pull it off in the end. So far, this has really been an eye opening experience. Just hope I can really keep this up when I finally get a job again!

205.5 this morning... down four from last week
That number seems absurdly low... didn't get to bike or swim at all during the weekend

I'll take it though... that means just .5 left to hit my goal this month....

Weighing in.. still 236 from Monday when I asked to hop on board..  but have had a good start.  Purchased a "DietOrganizer"software, pretty sweet.. keeps track of my BMR, my calories from exercise, my consumed calories, and my planned reduction to lose weight.. gives me "net calories" at days' end (how much I am under or over my goal) and breakdown in % between protein, carbs and fat.

Since Sunday.. I'm averaging 1500 cal per day.. (allegedly will lose 1.5lbs/week)..  not feeling like I'm starving, and still had energy for a 4km swim this morning..  so, plan is 6 days on, one day eat what I want.  We'll see.

Start: 232.5
Last Week: 228.5
This week: 227.5
Down 1.5 pounds.

The best news I have had in the 2-3 weeks of trying to lose weight was last night. I signed up to donate blood. The initiatory procedures includes taking blood pressure. I have been in the pre-hypterension range for quite a while, including about four weeks ago when I had to do a physical for insurance purposes. Last night, I was in the normal range and my BP was much better than normal. Whether or not this is just a fluctuation due to the time of day or whatever, I don't care. I am happy because I am feeling healthier and that is motivation enough for now. I hope everyone is doing well with their weigh-ins this week.

Last Week: 148.2
Today: 149.2
Goal: 146.0

Ugh- bad week. We celebrate most holidays two days in a row, Saturday with the big extended family and Sunday with immediate family.  So... Big "farm folk" meal on Saturday and then for Sunday I baked 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies for my Dad.  I think I ate about a dozen.  On the bright side, I suppose it's good that I'm only up ONE pound after all my indiscretions over the weekend.

I didn't weigh today. It is my week of the month that I hate and I feel quite round. We will see how it goes. Might take a couple weeks and step back from the scale.

I was up 1.8 pounds.  I am pretty sure I don't deserve it, but I can't point to my food journal for evidence of my perfect eating because I didn't track my food intake last week.  I wonder if there is a moral to the story.  I sort of feel like I need a new strategy for weight loss and am considering amputation of a limb.  Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary tools here at work, although I am not sure we have any power tools or saws or anything like that at home either.

Congrats to all the people that lost and my commiserations to anyone that gained.
