I FINALLY did a 2000m workout!

Steve, Bethany, and Madcow; I have been reading your logbooks forever thinking one day I too will get in one of those great 2000m+ workouts, and today I finally did! YAY!!!!!

Awsome. I saw in the other post what you did during that workout, and was inspired. I am working my way towards that distance, with my longest being 1250 yards. Keep up the great work.

All right- you inspired me to try for 2000.  My first race is a 800 yard swim so I did:

10x100 drills

800 free

200 pull

Congrats on the training breakthrough.  I looked at your logs.  It looks like you are putting together some nice swims with a combination of distances, drills and intensity.  That's the way to do it; instead of playing wall tag.
