Subject: WTB 31.6 fast forward seat post
I'm looking for a 31.6 diameter tri seat post.  Ideally a Carbon Profile Design Fast Forward, but I do not think they make this post in that size.  Anything similar would be great.  Thanks!

I don't think PD makes them in 31.6mm. I use a standard diameter FF seatpost with a shim, which works out fine.

Wow, thank you very much for that information!  I have been searching around like crazy and no one anywhere referenced doing that.  I'm definitely going to give that a shot.  Thanks again!

Sure thing

Make sure you get the correct sized shim (Cane Creek makes several). The outer diameter should match your bike's seat tube, and the inner diameter should match whatever seatpost you end up using.

Just wanted to say thanks one more time.  I got that shim and put it on last Friday.  It works awesome!!!

Cool- glad it worked out. I've heard of people cutting up aluminum cans for DIY seatpost shims, but it always sounded sketchy to me.

FYI- I was told that you should always line up the opening in the shim with the cut-out part of the seat tube when you install it. Not sure why, or if it really matters, but I do it anyway
