I did absolutely nothing today. I can walk... sorta... but I live on the second floor, and going down stairs hurts. I fly tomorrow and plan on hitting upper body weights tomorrow night, then I plan on swimming on thursday to ease back into some training activity.

4 miles is a recovery??? I ran 3.5 yesterday which is why I'm in bed right now whining with soreness. Too fast too soon for that kind of distance for me. *sigh* I dream of the day I can run 4 miles for a recovery! lol

I'm going to try to get a run in today. I leave bright & early tomorrow for the land of straw hats, Bob Marley & rum punch! The wedding is on Monday, so have a few for me!

I'm going to do a 5k run in Palm Beach on the 3rd of April.

Be back in mid-April.

Woo hoo, a rest day, the first one in 6 weeks! Taking my sweetie to breakfast, gonna lounge about the house, surf the web, go to work this afternoon. In general I'm a slacker and proud of it!

6:15 am my 2 year old wakes up because she's pee'ing the bed...I'm out the door on the mnt bike 50 minutes later intending to do a casual ride, but it turns into a 17 mile, traffic dodging over the Eau Gallie bridge into 20mph head wind, down along the the Indian River Lagoon, back over the Melbo bridge with the wind, into work power ride. I love when things just work out in the morning for me since I'm NOT a morning person !!!

Whew, it is damn good to be alive!1hr spin class. 1 mile run, (ran all of it - Woo! Hoo!) and 800 m swim! Have a great day all! It will be 70 degrees and shining here in the Colorado Valley and I'm loving it! Ovetta.

My goal is to get a 4 mile run in after work on the trails. The weather has cooled off here in Northern California so it should be around 70 degrees when I run...PERFECT!

30km trail run. It was snowing and windy. I just kept it slow and steady. The ground was frozen when I left but on the way home it had warmed up and there were some muddy sections that zapped my energy and the last 5km was a struggle.

20 miles bike. Very windy today here in Eastern Ohio. No matter what direction I was going, I seemed to always be riding into a head wind. Oh well, it will only make me stronger, I hope.

Am sick with head cold, but determined to have short work out. Will train on bike this evening when the attic cools for 45 minutes.

Back at it after recovery workouts last week. 1900m total swim time, drills, long endurance sets. My form is coming along nicely...I am actually gliding in the water now.
Boy am I jealous of all of you getting warmer temperatures. It snowed on and off all day and nothing looks too promising for a while yet. Sigh.

2400 in the pool - Isn't it great to have someone show up to push you a little? I find myself heading to the pool thinking, " I will just put in some long yards" then this guy shows up saying, "Let's do some intervals!"

People can really get creative on workouts. Did this thing where you sprint 25, then kick hard on the wall for 20 seconds, then immediately turn and go again - 4 repeats. Try that one on sometime - and remember to sprint!
