The guy is amazing! He is in the Rocket Science Speedsuit review my coach , Kevin Crossman, did earlier this year. He's going to be one to watch for years to come.

Nice work Pat!!

HOLY SCHITT!!  That's not human - that's a maniac machine!!

Now, I'm waiting for someone to chime in and say something about "how short was the swim course?".

I already did  but still that doesn't erase the fact he beat everyone out of the water and since we all did the same swim it is indeed very impressive.

That is simply awesome!

Now if I could just figure out how to knock 40 sec off my 100 time, I would be all set!

JorgeM - 2009-07-14 8:50 AM Impressive, specially when considering the choppy water and the current. IMO the swim was a tad short which is bad news for me cuz it means my swim was that much slower but that doesn't take anything away at all from that crazy fast time and amazing accomplishment of beating the Pros, great job!

I heard that a bunch of age groupers were pushing for a du because the water was so rough.  That's an amazing time for a pool swim, never mind a rough ocean swim.

They were giving the option for those uncomfortable with swimming under those conditions to do a DU instead but not elegible for AG awards. I was happy they open up the option without rushing into making a desicion and forcing a DU onto everyone. And yes the swim was certainly choppy and challenging but doable

That is unreal. Congrats on that fast swim and your Clearwater spot. As for the swim the water was choppy but not crazy. I have seen a few races go off in worse conditions. Everyone was fine. They are called OWS for a reason. Race directors have no control over the water. It would have been a big mistake for them to make it a DU.
