Precipitation
Total Time = 2h 39m 59s
Overall Rank = 137/141
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 12/12
Pre-race routine:

I found a spot in transition, looked at the way out for each sport and I prepared my transitions.
Event warmup:

I swam a bit in the lake before the start.
Swim
  • 26m 10s
  • 1000 meters
  • 02m 37s / 100 meters
Comments:

The swim went pretty well, I passed a lot of people even guys who started before me! the water was calm and not too cold.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, it went well. I will keep on training so I can get out of the water even faster!
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

I was a little slow on transition because it was pouring rain and I was trying to get my socks ans shoes on. I was also a little light headed after the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Continue to practice getting out of my wetsuit and putting my shoes on faster.
Bike
  • 1h 19m 22s
  • 30 kms
  • 22.68 km/hr
Comments:

It was raining hard... It went very well considering the weather! The hills slowed me down but I was ready for it!
What would you do differently?:

Train more, more, more! I need to cut some time on the bike!
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

I had to change my socks in T2 because my feet were so wet! It was still pouring rain and I didn't want to run 8k with wet feet. I also put a shirt on to keep me warmer during the run.
What would you do differently?:

Prepare a second pair of socks with my running shoes... my second pair was in my sport bag and I had trouble to find them... it wasn't raining before the start of the race... a good thing I put a plastic over my things!
Run
  • 54m 28s
  • 8 kms
  • 06m 49s  min/km
Comments:

My legs didn't want to go up hills anymore!! The run was hard and still in the rain!
What would you do differently?:

Train more on the run!
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need more training!

Event comments:

Great race! I'm happy with what I accomplished! I knew I was probably going to finish in the last but I don't mind at all! It was my second triathlon, it was a big one, the weather was terrible and I did it! Next year, I'll be back!!
