Pre-race routine:

Well my seat post broke, but thankfully i found someone willing to let me borrow theres
Event warmup:

light swim and stretch.
Swim
  • 11m 35s
  • 547 yards
  • 02m 07s / 100 yards
Comments:

The first 100 Meters started out well, I was near the front. I then tried to pass two people in front of me, but for some reason they kept (swerving?)I wasted alot of energy doing that, and then i ended up getting smacked across the face 3 or 4 times, which threw me all off. I treaded water for a bit to catch my breath and then headed off to bouy two. I decided to go on a little adventure and swam way off course, haha.
What would you do differently?:

Be meaner? More OWS experience and practice sighting.
Transition 1
  • 02m 4s
Comments:

Nothing special here, with the exception of a fairly long run to the transition area after the swim and then with the bike to the mount line.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, really.
Bike
  • 44m 44s
  • 12.43 miles
  • 16.67 mile/hr
Comments:

Im not sure if im a terrible biker or if the last two courses ive raced have been tough. This was easier then last week, but there was definitely a couple tough climbs and rollers.

Im also pretty sure I cursed really loudly when the first girl passed me, who started the swim 4 minutes after me.
Transition 2
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

Nothing special here, just a long run to the transition area once again.
Run
  • 23m 15s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 29s  min/mile
Comments:

Personally, i felt like I had a really good run. The first half mile was pretty slow, but once i got my legs back I took off.
What would you do differently?:

More Bike/run bricks.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretch

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Crappy swim and not enough training

Event comments:

A very enjoyable race even with really crappy weather.

Great job for the second week in a row!  After all of your earlier injuries/time issues, it must feel great to finally be competing!!

Great job!  I did this race also - the swim & run were fine, but almost the entire bike ride was in a steady downpour.
