anyone up for riding the 5430 sprint tri bike course?  it's a 17 mile loop....nice ride!  You can do 2 loops or other options if you want to ride longer!

I'd really like to join you guys and check out the 5430 course, but I have swimming at noon that day, and don't know if I'll want to do the drive up there and back   I'll think about it though - I need more work on the bike than the swim...

Sounds intriguing...I've said I'm in and then bailed on a couple of these already, so for now I'll just say that I'm interested.

What time?

I'm thinking 9 am.....

You can park at boulder rez....outside the gate.  I just hope it isn't full!  It shouldn't be though!  And even if it is....we can easily move cars elsewhere.

Why would the parking lot be full? is there an event that day?

Cathy, I'm down for the ride. Sounds great. Although Boulder doesn't sound like South Denver!

I'm up for two loops I need the mileage.

Not necessarily, but if it's a nice day, people go out there in droves.  I may park at Tom Watson and ride over to the Res.

2 loops, 34 miles - we should EASILY do that in under 2 hours.  Any takers for the fast group?

I'd like to, but I have to take the GRE that day. Maybe I'll get to go with you guys one of these days.

re: full lot - it's the super small lot before you have to pay to enter!  And as Joe said, we can park elsewhere....I can get there early in case there are parking issues and direct people

Squishy....bummer about the GRE....I was going to offer my mountain bike for the day!

I didn't know there was a time limit. If so then I'll back out. I can ride with the guys at my LBS that day, they don't seem to mind waiting on me even though one of them is one of the best mountain bikers in the country and he's doing IMFL.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to make it yet, but if I do, I'm fine with waiting, so no worries there.

Just one more group ride I'll have to miss...

I've got a race the following day, so I'll be taking a rest day on Saturday.

I really do want to meet everyone sometime.

I think Joe is trying to accommodate Stacey's time limit b/c of her swim at 12 noon.

No time limit.....and of course there has to be lunch afterwards!

Sorry O, I guess I could have been more clear - if anyone wishes to HAVE a fast group, we should be able to do it under two hours, and I'm willing to lead the fast group.  The ride wouldn't be the same without you!  I just want to do that course in 'race conditions', so I'd like to see how fast I can do it.

Sorry, but I'll be lounging on the beach in Hawaii (after running and openwater swimming, of course). I'll drink a fruity drink for all of you. Carbs!

Sorry. I, of course, thought you were talking about me. Doesn't everybody?

Sure I'll come. I need to do that course anyway. And my LBS has started a slow and fast group. I wonder why? Could it be me? Mmmmm. Oh well. I guess I've got to get better on bike. Ride Lots as they say.

I'm interested, but I can't commit at the moment. I'd be a part of the slow group, I'm sure. I want to hook up with some of my neighbors (you guys), as I'm new to the sport and could use some advice with biking. I'm currently riding a Specialized 'Rock Hopper'. A road bike is on my wish list.

I've been blogging my training here.

I am currently planning on going but like eric I am also on a mountain bike so I will definitely be in the slow pack.

Bring the mtn bikes!  My plan (since I know the course all too well) was to ride and stop at every turn, allow everyone to meet up again and go......and anyone who wants to do extra can go for it.
