If anyone of the veterans would suggest some tips/pointers for the race what would they be?

Get used to riding in the heat?

Get used to riding really hard on the bike and running like 6 miles off the bike?

Get used to getting crushed by a crappy current in the Chopatank?

pennylope - 2009-08-23 4:02 PM ok, for ppeople who live in the areawhere are good places to do long rides in the baltimore/DC/annapolis area...I haven't lived there for a while, but i'm going home for a couple weeks in november, and want to do some riding...

You can do some semi flat course around the Pasadena area.  Friend and I do that every now and then to get familar with the flat course.  Little closer for most of us then going across the bridge.

Cool, I didn't know they were also racing!

sure I am in, but what about a bike+run kinda deal?

PennState - 2009-11-25 10:14 AM Well I can't swim with Dan or run with Jorge... but I do think a bike SMACKDOWN would be awesome.

I'm putting it out there... 2:15 with sub 1:40 run.

Ambitious??? Yes, but I'm trying to think positive.

No 2:15 hr bike for me (unless we race clearwater style

As of today I think a 2:20 hr bike + sub 1:20hr run = 3:40 hrs is doable with the added bonus that I'll beating GPS on the swim!

Highly unlikely! My only goal for this race is to come out of the water faster than you, Fred & Tasr. In a sleeveless wetsuit to boot. I will not be faster than Dan and I will definitely be faster than Rick. I'm going for it....

I'd go for a 6 pack from each person to the fastest OA and another 6 pack from each person to the fastest bike split.

Whoa!  Just saw this.  I fear this race because it’s flat and I am too much of a hill climber.  Don’t get me wrong I’ll be training HARD for this race so don’t count me out.

I think the trio smackdown will be Fred, JK and Dan.
