Subject: posteior knee-pain: seat NOT 2 high.
1.) Been riding the same settings on my road for years. No problem.
2.) Used it as a starting point for my tri. Been riding it for a yr. No problem.
3.) Moved to a hilly part of the country a year ago... same bikes. Now there's a problem. But it seems to have happened when I consciously started pushing higher gears/lower cadence. Has only happend twice the entire yr.
4.) I can still run.
5.) Pain occurs w/pedaling... like my seats feel too high.

Did I maybe shrink in the last yr or perhaps a combo of using high gears over hills, or maybe just using high gears? (Or maybe the evil troll raised my seats while I slept.)

I believe we have a winner.    

I read somewhere that faster cadence is better for the knees.   In fact, I think it was in a Sheldon Brown article about elliptical cranks.  Just a sec.
