Hi, I was wondering what you guys thought about doing the Austin 70.3 half ironman on Oct 25 and then 4 weeks later doing the Ironman Arizona on Nov 22. I am definitely doing the IMAZ, but thought it might be interesting throwing the 70.3 in there.

I'm following one of Beginner Triathlete.com's training schedules for the Ironman Arizona (my main goal) but can 't really find anything on this specific question.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks

Your first IM?  How many HIM have you done?  What is your background?  How do you recover?

Lots of things to consider to give a decent answer but, in general, that's probably too close and you'll be better off doing IM-specific training rather than racing a HIM.  But you wouldn't be the first to have done them in that span.

This is kinda close, you'd be better off with 6 weeks or so. I did my HIM approx 8 weeks out from my IM, (which is in 13 days!!)
