Subject: 56cm Cervelo Dual--$975
I'm selling my 2006 Cervelo Dual.  It's a 56cm, nothing has been cut on it (seat post, fork) so all adjustments are available.  The only blemishes on the bike are from a recent laydown.  There is a scratch on the top tube and the rubber on the bar end shifters is scuffed.  The bike has approximately 2500 miles MAX.  The chain and rear derailleur were replaced within the last 250 miles, however (I dropped the chain in a tri earlier this year and ended up messing up the chain and the rear derailleur).  I have a road bike that I ride a lot more than this one, and it's just time to get it out of here, really.  It's a great bike.  I'm sure I'll miss having it around, but quite frankly, the money would be put to better use.  I'll add pictures later.

Specs:

Crank:  FSA Gossamer 53-39
Wheels: Shimano WH-R550
Cassette: Shimano 11-23
Derailleurs:  Both are Shimano Ultegra (10 speed)
Aerobars: Visiontech with Cervelo Basebar
Brakes:  Front-Cervelo, Rear-Shimano 105

I'm looking for $975+shipping.  But no reasonable offers will be ignored.  Pictures will be added soon.

Nice bike....I have the opportunity to buy the red and black dual...but the guy doesn't know what year it is.  Any idea what it might be?  I'm looking for 2006 and newer.

The red/black paint scheme was 2005.  I like the yellow better Cool

Hmm, this might give me a good excuse to arrange pick-up around an LSU home game...

You're more than welcome.  The bike would even come with a free place to stay!

Have you sold this yet?

My inseam is 87cm and my height is 181cm. Think this would be the right size for me.

Is it carbon? Did I read your post correctly that the rear derailler is wrecked or is it in primo riding condition?

Let me know, I'm in the market.

The rear derailleur is virtually new.  The drivetrain is silky smooth!  Everything works perfectly.  It's still available, but for sale in multiple locations.  No hard bites yet.

FYI the Dual is a welded aluminum frame.

You can get info on the standard manufacturer's build for the 2006 Dual on Bikepedia:

Edited to add: By the way, according to this link above it's the '07 model that came in yellow. The '06 model reviewed by BikeSportMichigan shows the gun-metal gray color scheme. Cervelo doesn't have an archive that I can find on older models to verify this.

So do you think the bike would fit me? I'm just over 6 feet. My inseam vs. height puts me pretty much right with the average proportions so standard length tube should be fine.

Sorry if this is repetitive, but I'm seriously considering making an offer. Please confirm that this bike is race ready and I would not need to do anything to it/spend any money on it when I get it, aside from the scuffs.

Thanks,

Jared

Ah, sorry Jared.  I have a deal worked out with another BTer.  If it falls through I'll let you know.

Hey thanks anyways. I appreciate you responding to me so quickly.

I am now looking at two other bikes since yours is no longer available. I have found a Cervelo P2SL (58cm) and a Fuji Aloha 1.0 (56cm) both 2007 with stock parts. I test drove the Aloha (56cm) and it felt very low, but I'm used to road bikes so it could be just the change.

Any advice as to which would bike and/or size would be a better bike.

Thanks,

Jared
