So just put aero bars on my bike and not sure the best set up for my Garmin quick release as there appears to be little to no room for it now on my handlebars. Curious to know what, where and how others have dealt with this?

Thanks

I had the same exact problem. There was literally NO room for the thing. So I just used the velcro arm strap and jimmy rigged it where the stem attaches to the handlebars.

Get yourself one of these or one of these. If you go with the PD, get the longer version.

Thanks very much. Am planning on going the velcro strap way tomorrow and then ordering the PD version as looks like that is the way to go.

x2 for the Profile UCM. I got the XL version and it centers between aerobars nicely.

I just finished my guide for this and put it on my blog last week, mounted on the stem, easy to see while in aero bars.

How is this setup working for you? Still holding up? Any Forerunner 305 ejections?

Thanks!

I've got mine setup this way (thanks to the instructions in the blog) and it's worked perfectly!

Ditto.  I did this on my new bike after seeing this and have no issues.

No issues on the first bike, and now using the same setup on my P2, still no issues, I almost think the circular zip ties act as a shock rather than some of the round "computer mounts" that will transfer more vibration to the device to eject.

X2. Docpetes system would interfere with my aerobottle mount.

I had a tough time finding a place in my area that actually had the Profile Design UCM in stock but managed to locate a practially identical product called 'the Nob' made by Cronometro (here is a picture i found online). Goes about it in a slightly different way but is very secure and definately worked for what I wanted.

Here is a picture of it on my bike. Its angled just right so I can read it while sitting up or in aero, and it doesn't get in the way of my aero bottle. The set up is pretty new for me so I cannot speak for ejections in this case, but it seems awefully secure. (please forgive the image size, I had made that picture set for my blog and don't have the originals...I'm at work!)
