I've tried numrous moisturiser and body wash products over the past 2 years to try and negate the effects of the chlorine in the pools on my skin.

I've found a few products that work quite well but my back and stomach is always itchy for the rest of the day once I swim. I moisturise my hands 5-10 times a day when I swim and 3-5 on days I don't swim.

I use dove moisturising body wash every time I have a shower.

So how do I stop the itchy back and chest and also stop the red rash that develops on my face and cheeks?

Does anyone use tri swim lotion? I've used it before but didn't find it that great and in comparison it was expensive.

I've got a lot of experience with pretty bad eczema, including after swimming. I've had the best luck using a combination of cetaphil cleanser (which I use for all showers and is much milder than dove) and cerave lotion (expensive but by far the best lotion for out of a half dozen I've tried). I find it's important to get into the shower and then get the lotion on as soon as possible after getting out of the pool.

Good luck!

I've recently developed a rash around my forehead, ears, and back of neck..... right around where my swim cap goes.

i had bad, skin dryness and rashes when i started.

1)  i take a shower as soon as i leave the pool
2)  take a proper shower when i get home
3)  put moisturizing lotion all over

that seems to have helped.  any lotion works.  this has worked for me of course.

I had it bad enough I went to the Dr and got some cortisone cream which cleared things right up.  Switching to an outdoor pool that's got a lower temperature (and I think better chemical control) has helped if you have that as an option.

I shower, really shower, rubbing water into my skin & scalp before swimming.  Follicles/skin bathed in fresh water are less likely to soak up Cl-water.  That's the theory anyway, it's helped my skin immensely. Then of course I shower immediately after swimming & use a creamy lotion.

I swear by Dermaswim Pro pre-swim lotion.  You apply it before swimming & it creates a barrier.  It's made a huge difference for me.

I started to get red bumps and rash from the Chlorine from the pool till a nice lady at tre pool told me to use this soap after I swim and BAM no more bumps and rashes are gone and chlorine is my friend now Laughing Oh you can get any Olay products  this one below is an example. I use the green tea one.
