My Buddy and me are hosting the 2nd Miami Man Orientation Bike Ride this Sunday, Oct.4th. Meeting place: Larry & Penny T. Park, Park Site #2 (Race Transition Area) at 7:00 am...SHARP...!!!

Miami Man Course Tours

Presented by South Florida Triathletes   Meeting Place: Larry and Penny Thompson Park Site # 2 (Race Transition Area), 12451 SW 184th Street, Miami, FL 33177                               Orientation Ride Dates and Times: First Ride : Sunday, October 18, 2009, 7:00am Second Ride : Sunday, October 25, 2009, 7:00am Third Ride : Sunday, November 1, 2009, 7:00 am*   *After the 3rd ride you will be able to pick up your packet a week early at Mack Cycle, 5995 Sunset Drive, Miami, FL.   All three rides will start at 7:30am sharp. At 7:00 am we will enter the park and proceed towards Site # 2. Please use the main entrance. You'll see all of our vehicles. At 7:15am we'll go over the handouts and head towards the beach. After that we'll depart out on the bikes and you'll have the option to do three different distances on the bike. All of these distances are in total miles.    First distance will be the Int'l distance which will be about 20 miles, second distance will be about 40 miles (one loop) and the third distance will be the two loop total ride for the ½ Iron distance.  Riders will be doing all three distances so you will not be left behind if you decide to only ride a shorter course. You must be able to ride at least the 20 mile course if you want to join us and have all of the necessary food and equipment for the ride. Everyone is welcome, if you're in the event or not. Please also go to www.multirace.com and look at the course map before coming out.   After the ride we'll go for about a two mile run through part of the park. I'll have drinks, gels and some food to give out at all of the rides. I'd like to also make clear that this is an orientation ride and not a training session. All riders ride at their own risk and you are also responsible for your bicycles and equipment.  The orientation rides are not USAT sanctioned or insured.   Look forward to seeing all of you out there !!! Then We won't be for the one on Oct.18th...cuz...We are racing our last Sprint "Race for the Troops" at Tradewinds Park...but...

We will help Paul Kvedaras with the last 2 ones Bike Ride: Oct.25th and Nov.1st

Today...

We had a Super-Fantastic Speedy Bike Group at the Miami Man Bike Course...keeping an average of 19.2 mph and max. 25.7 mph....the perfect condition....excellent weather....overcasted....cold fog early in the morning....but...it was windy like usual...but...this time...winds coming from NW...usually come from NE...and...It was nice cuz winds coming from west helped us to go back to Transition....Very Nice...!!!!

We will have the last Miami Man Orientation Bike Ride tomorrow before Race...Join us and meet us at Larry & Penny T. Park...Site #2 (Race Transition Area) at 7:00 am...

Who is coming???  Last ride was a great Group Bike Ride...around 40 riders...2 groups...one speedy and other a little more slow group...
