I'm pretty sure I have ridden the bike course by doing the Assault on Sugarloaf.   I guess you could say it's a nice scenic ride, but be prepared for an asskicking on those hills.

I did the 1/2 Iron distance last year. It was my first half and I loved it. The hills where tough, but if you have been training for hills it is very do able. I enjoyed the race and I plan on doing it again this year. I am just coming off my first Ironman two weeks ago, so as long as i am feeling strong, I will be there. If you have any specific questions, ask away.

I will be there. I have ridden most of the course a few times, and the hills are no joke. I am getting excited!

I am doing the super sprint on Saturday.  Same bike course as the Central Florida Series..  Hill just before the finish is a killer for me...  New bike hopefully will help.  Most of the backside of the lake is an easy ride...  Just the start and finish are the killers...

Great!  You guys are scaring me!  And I thought 15 wasn't much!  Maybe I'll be glad to get off the bike this time.  Lately, I've wanted to keep goiing!  Is it a pretty large race?

Sorry, by 'short course' I was thinking you meant the half iron distance for some reason.  If you're doing doing the sprint the hills won't be as bad as I said, but you will still be shifting those gears to blast through it.

I was shifting those gears last weekend at the Sand Key tri in Clearwater.  Going up and over both bridges twice was fun!!!

Pretty sure it's down by the lake, right beside transition. There will be a tent set up for it.

How'd you guys do today? We were riding on the trail today and literally ran right into the race as the sprinters were heading out on the run. I did the sprint a few years ago. Looks like they changed the run to be mostly on the trail, and maybe the sprint bike, too? Was a nice day for it, and looked like a fairly small crowd.

I sorta didn't make the start line. Got gunned down by a rogue 2001 GMC truck 24 and a half hours before the gun. Totaled bike, broken vertebra.
