You can see a picture of her here -- http://www.bianchiusa.com/548.html
She creates emotion, she stirs me.......alas at $5,699.99 it is a love that might never be.....
But I still love her........

I know, it isn't even a Tri-bike, it isn't a bandwagon bike (anything with Trek, Postal Service or Nike on it) and it really isn't a "specialty" bike for anything. But look at it --
Italians - they just know.....

I was in my LBS yesterday and the guy was trying to talk me into a Giant - some $5,000 carbon bike which I am sure is nice and probably a wonderful bike...But I told him -- If you are going to spend that kind of money it needs to touch you -- and that Bianchi touches me. I doubt it is significantly better than what similiar money can you get you from a number of bike makers, but it is the one that touches me..... and that is what matters.

That should be your reason for all your purchases -- not what someone else says is the one but what touches you......

She is gorgeous.  I guess that she replaces the old EV3 that I used to lust after before I started doing triathlons ... and, which I almost bought in 2003.

She's a beauty!

As a non-bandwagon brand bike owner (mine was imported from Europe by her former owner), I can say that you should certainly follow your heart.

And if it makes you feel better, my bike is faster going down hill than many of *those* bikes (based on my experience of passing people who seemed to be working hard to go faster down hill). Maybe some day, with enough training, it'll be faster going uphill too.

Oh what emotion stirs in men's loins when they behold a shapely beauty such as her. Many a lustful man has been moved to crimes of passion for a lesser Goddess. Mount her. Ride her. And let no other slip between you. (My God, snap out of it!

You know, as gorgeous as that bike is... I don't think I could bring myself to buy a Bianchi that wasn't celeste green...

That's my girl! And she was a pretty good tri-bike @ Wildflower. As a girl it just feels so right that my next race on her is in SF. She's everything I hoped she'd be-light and responsive without a touch of celeste. FWIW I got her for significantly less that 5K. Ebay purchase before the dollar dropped relative to the euro.

Beutiful bike... but, I considered the value in it's fit and comfort.

It may be just me... But as they say, beauty is only skin deep... in the long run the value is in the personality of the bike... that (IMHO) is the real value in a bike. Call me old fashion, but fit and comfort trumps all values.
