Subject: During run right arm goes numb

When running my right arm will go numb.  If I'm running at a moderate pace the numbness will start at around 5 miles.  If I walk for ~30 seconds, the numbness will go away for a while.  The numbness starts earlier with more intense running.  I did a 5k a few weekends ago and by the end of the race my arm was almost completely numb.  Took a few minutes for feeling to return.  (No chest pain associated with this).

Just wondering if anyone else out there experiences this.  Is this something that will go away as I train more and my body gets used to additional mileage?

Following my ski accident I had numbness issues in my arms.  Went to a chiroporator and issues were resolved.  Maybe you should look into finding a chiro.  In the mean time make sure your not tensing up your shoulders, relax the arms so that they sway naturally, etc on your form.
