Subject: My first Olympic Distance Tri- Northeast MD (August 15, 2010)

I'm looking for motivation and a structured environment for training.  I hope BT provides that for me.  I've completed 5 full marathons, an MS-150 ride and several other shorter distance organized races.
Most recently I participated in the Maui 1/2 marathon and the Philadelphia 1/2 marathon.  For the spring, I'm registered for the Mardi Gras 1/2 in New Orleans and the GW Parkway 10 miler...

Last summer, I "competed" in my 1st sprint triathlon (Brigantine, NJ).  It was a brand new experience-a bitter-sweet rewarding accomplishment.  Afterwards, I said "I'll do this one again but I'll never do anything longer than a sprint"....famous last words!

I'm just looking to finish--the swim will be the challenge for me.  I'm planning on taking some swim lessons this spring and hope that I can improve my confidence for that leg of the event!

So...I hope to find some "locals" to communicate and train with!
