Subject: South East Shoreline Tri Club?

Any interest in a shoreline tri club up towards Rhode Island and away from Fairfield county or the center of the state?

Nothing happened, however Mystic Velo has a small group associated with themselves, waiting on more info from them.

Here is what they sent:

Are there organized group runs?
Mystic Velo currently has no organized group runs.  I do all of my running at work in Newport, RI at lunch time.  I really enjoy the  running with others.  I'll look into organized group runs in the Mystic area to post on our web site.

Any benefits to joining?
There are several benefits of joining; By the sounds of it you could really benefit from the several Mystic Velo group rides, Group rides will push much harder than riding by yourself or an indoor workout.  Mystic Velo has several very accomplished Time Trialists who would be glad to give you pointers on cycling.  I hope to also target key multi-sport events as a team, sharing rides to races and competing for team prizes (FIRM race series).   Our web site also is a good resource for info www.mysticvelo.com.

How many members?  How many active members?

Mystic Velo has 85 members but only a handful are multi-sport athletes.  I hope to build a strong multi-sport team in the coming year.

Aaron you are more than welcome to join Mystic Velo.  There are no other tri clubs in our area that I am aware of and main benefit of being part of a club are the networking and social aspects.

Good Luck in the upcoming season and I hope to see you on the road or in the water.

Bob
