Subject: Anyone actually ridden a 2010 Felt yet?!?!?!?
I'm in the market for a new bike this spring, and have my heart set on a Felt (I'm hedging between the B12 and the B14), but none of the LBS have them in stock and they all say they don't know when they will have them on the floor for sale.

I live in the Chicago area, anyone know a local shop that has the 2010's for sale yet?

Has anyone anywhere in the country seen the 2010's in their LBS yet?

I'm in Austin, not Chicago...but my local shop has had them in stock for over a month now.  I bought a discounted new 2009 Felt B16 and love it.  Not sure why your store doesn't have them in yet.

When I was looking at bikes, I went to 2 Felt dealers. One had both the B12 and B14 in stock the other store had no Felts in yet.

I'm in Atlanta, GA.

They are not lying to you.  There is none left in the country at this point from the calls and research I have done.  I ordered my 2010 Felt B12 in December and it is coming in to the country Mid-February and those are paid for bikes only with peoples name on them (aka ME).  There is another shipment coming in late february that will be available for sale I believe.  I am only speaking of the B12 as I am not sure on the B14.  It has been a little bit frustrating to say the least to wait this long although it is a popular bike and the first ones late last year went pretty quick.

I got fit by a FIST certified fitter and this baby fits so that is what i went with and has the components I want.  I did not ride one prior to purchase.  Good luck!

I have a 2010 Felt B2R I ordered in late November.  This is my first tri-bike and it is taking me some getting used to, but I like it.

Yes- I tried the 2010 B14. It was not the bike for me. Also, the cockpit didn't feel substantial enough for me. I ended up with a 2010 QR CD0.1 and let me tell you I can not wait for it to come in!!! My bike shop in Indianapolis has the 2010 Felt line in stock. T3 Multisport. Awesome, Awesome shop!!

I saw a 2010 B16 at a tri shop but it wasn't my size.  They were supposedly getting in several more but I ended up getting a 2009 B12 for a lot better deal.

MOX in Chicago just got an order of felt's in. They just got them last week and have several sizes put together. You can give them a call and find out if they have one put together yet in your size.

I just bought a B16 with some upgraded components to make it basically a B14 for a few hundred dollars less expensive than the B14 last weekend and can't be happier with my buying experience. MOX is really good shop IMO.

And I rode it last weekend. It was very very cold but the bike felt really good and fit my body type really well.

Thanks for all the replies.

Glad I'm not the only one having trouble tracking down one of these babies.

I'll check out MOX. Do they have any fitting/sales deals?

I just got off the phone with MOX. They have a B16 in my size, and can get a B12 in within a week of ordering.

A purchase from them includes a Retul fitting for no additional charge, other than the $3k for a bicycle, but . . .

I spoke with Amy, who seems very nice and knowledgeable.

check out Sunrise Tri, they have a banner ad on this site. I got a Felt from them a month ago or so. Great fitting experience in their studio.

Felt brought in a lot of their 2010 models during the fall and most of those bikes have shipped to dealers. Felt still has some models/sizes, but it's limited at this time. I know they are expecting bikes later this month and in early march.

Dealers who didn't bring bikes in early, are waiting for the next shipments to arrive. Dealers who did bring bikes in are limited by what they've still got in inventory.

I sold most of the 2010 Felt TT bikes I brought in and I'm anxiously waiting for more.

Felt does not permit dealers to sell on-line, so you're limited by what shops you can physically get to.

Not to ask the stupid question but why the b12 vs. a b16?

The B16 is also very nice.

The difference is that the B16 has 105 components, and the B12 has mostly Dura Ace.

The felt I ride now has all 105's, which I have no complaints about, but I'm upgrading with the new bike purchase, so . . . B12.

Just an FYI.  The B12 is full Ultegra except for the bar ends which of course are Dura Ace.  The B2 is Dura-Ace.  That is unless your LBS has changed out the components on a B12.

I own a 2010 Felt Road bike.  But that's probably not much help...

I love it, BTW...

Ok I figured that was the main difference. I was just making sure I wasn't missing something big.  Good luck this weekend trying it out. I might run into you if you're there on Saturday afternoon.

Jack and Adams in Austin has several B16's, B14's and B12's (as of Tuesday anyway).  They didn't have my size B16 (56) but have it ordered and expect it to be in next week (fingers crossed).  Speaking of Felt and online sales.....A bunch of the California shops seem to have great deals on their websites but very very few of the Texas shops even have prices on their websites at all.  Is there a reason for this that I'm not thinking of?  I'm willing to drive to Dallas or Houston for a good deal but it's been a hassle having to call shops all over Texas during the day instead of checking the websites at my leisure (late at night).

Well I have heard from a couple LBS's that a new supply of 2010 B12's is just a couple of weeks out from delivery.

In all my searching I have found a 2009 B12 for a discounted price. What is everyone's opinions of going with a 2009 for less $ or the 2010? Could save about $600 bucks for a future purchase of race wheels, pedals, new shoes, etc.

Is the 2010 B12 improved/changed over the 2009?

I just grabbed an 09 as well.  As far as I know they are the same bike in almost every way except for color.  I say go for it.  I got mine for $2200 at my LBS.

Did you see if they would come off that any or was that there best offer.  The original asking price for my 09 was $2500.  Didn't tak much to get them to drop the price.  Some shops tend to deal a little bit more than others though.  When I bought my road bike in 2008, I found a 2007 model and they wouldn't move any off the asking price.  But either way I think you would be doing good getting an 09 for $600 off over a 2010 model.  Besides, I think the 09's were a better color scheme!

I live in the north burbs, too, and am also upgrading to a B12 this year.  Did you find a B12 or B14?

I called MOX today and they *might* have an update this coming weekend.

In the meantime, there's a LBS outside of Milwaukee that will special order one and gave me a great quote...$200 off MSRP for the B12.  And the local sales tax there is 5.6% compared to chicago's 10.25%.  that's about a $140 savings right there!
