I haven't looked at this in detail, but it sure sounds promising!  Of course individual states can still do things their own way.  But if they use any federal funds, they'll need to adhere to the new policies.

This is good to hear.  I would really love to commute via bike more often, but I value my life too much to ride in certain areas.

Nice.  Perhaps we will get roads with actual pavement outside the white line in our neck of the woods... (not holding my breath).
