how about updating it every Sunday night/Monday morning?  Then everyone's big weekend numbers are in?  I think after this weekend, everyone's totals will be HUGE.

You all are awesome.....let's kick some booty!

Cathy is thinking "carrot" and I guess I'm thinking "stick".  I've added color coding to highlight the team leaders!   Green is good - keep going - you're GREAT!   Orange (it's in the red family) means "look out!" "DANGER"  "Peril looms if ye stay on this path "

Here's the breakdown.  We are 45% of the way through the month of July.  A week ago, we were 6.7 points below target.  This week we're only 5.5 points below target (looks like 5% because of rounding on the chart).  OK, that's an improvement   Perhaps the best of our good news is that we now have FOUR team members in GREEN - and three of them are up from RED last week!  Great job
The bad news is - Velasqu7 crashed last Saturday and is pretty banged up.  Worse, I've yet to hear the prognosis for his trusty steed (well, it's always been trusty on DRY roads)!  Get well soon Luis!!!   AND - Canada is out of water! j/k, j/k, Nora

Now, you have the weekend ahead of you.  Some of us need to dig deep and DARE to go back in the water (three of us DID NOT SWIM for TWO WEEKS!!!)  Acckkk
Can you get further ahead?  Can you catch up?

Special kudos to Cathy - our undisputed leader!  She started in green, has stayed there, and is on track to finish at over 125% of her goals!  WOW
Does guilt inspire the rest of you (yes, me too!) who are not in green?????  She works full time, goes to graduate school, and mothers a little one at home, oh yeah, and she kicks your ass in tri training

Impressive charting/feedback, Brett.

I think maybe you've used your emoticon allotment for this week, though.

I'm thinking of having stickers printed.  Life should be full of these.  The plan is stick them on people at work.  I think they'll find it very inspriational

OK Team!  According to the head scorekeeper, we are sitting 5th as of Monday.  I know we've gotten some good workouts since then (and Jiggies joined the on-line revolution ) so we're looking better.

But let's get those long runs or rides in this weekend if you can.  Or maybe reaquiant yourself with the water (it seems pentiful in the U.S. but the Canadians may be looking to siphon it north soon--so hurry!)

And good luck to Cathy & anyone else racing this weekend!

If this rain will stop for just a few minutes....I plan to get in a 2600 meter swim tonight; 42 mile bike in the morning; and a 4 mile run tomorrow afternoon. I'll be short a 21 mile bike for the week, but otherwise back on track.

I Canada needs the rain, I'll gladly send it - we've had about 15" here in the last two weeks.

Good weekend to everyone!

um Yeah.
Big fat ditto...
Everyday i sit in my cube at work looking at the beautiful steamy days just PERFECT for swimming. Then at 430 i look out and see every storm cloud in the region setting up to keep me at home.

Lane,

I'm so sorry to read that you have dropped out of IMFL. When you posted that you were "out" and Brett would handle captain duties, I did not understand that you were out ALTOGETHER. I read that you were out of being captain - not out of the challenge, out of training, out of IMFL. I read the bad news in your log (per your suggestion). That's just terrible. I hope you heal well, heal fast.

Hugs and kisses (still room on the hammock),

Big Guns Chickiepoo

Damnit!!  The challenge is just for fun, but it sucks to have to make the call on IMFL.  At least IMAZ is still open and you still have an IM on the plate!  Get REALLY healthy this time - and stay that way!

Come on TEAM 6, let's win one for the CAVU9er (doesn't quite ring does it? but you know what I mean! )

Subject: RE: GO TEAM GUINNESS !

Hi Team

Tomorrow I'll post our own weekly progress check (including all training completed today).  So, if you're part way through a big brick at midnight tonight, we'll just have to pick those numbers up next time!

Renee and the other teams like to check progress on Tuesdays, so I'll roll up our numbers again Monday night and send to her for the spreadsheet.  The spreadsheet comes out Tues./Wed. if you want to see how the other teams are doing.

Team Guinness is in good shape - it looks like all most of us (sorry Cavu and Velasqu!) can meet our goals if we stay on top of our schedules!  Best of luck TEAM GUINNESS
