I'm kind of winging it here. This logo isn't forever and ever amen (or at least, I sure hope not). It'd be nice to have a Balinese symbol in there, but all possibilities seem awfully complicated.

Thinking about making the lettering bigger and graphics smaller. Oh and Comic Sans is totally overused but it's what looks best here. And plain black letters look ugly.

Maybe a shorter, fatter wave?
Maybe a bike wheel graphic that looks less like an egg?
Maybe runner's legs that don't look crooked? But if I line them up, it looks like a fast-forward symbol. Not that that would be bad.

Other thoughts?

Thank you!

maybe connect the legs at the top?  And perhaps add a few more spoked.  Just some thoughts.  Otherwise, pretty nice.

Oh, I thought they were short, fat sperm  JK, JK!!!!    Smile

I am absolutely NOT a designer type, but I would not really recognize the symbols as having anything to do with triathlon if the word Triathlon wasn't there.   Some cool looking Balinese symbols would be great if possible.

Congrats on organizing a club!

It really would be nice to have Balinese symbols in there ...

Except the simple ones are all Hindu, and I'm not going to go there. Anything else (plumeria, Balinese dancer, surfing, temples, ducks, ceremonial dress, cremation, masks, art) is too complicated. It's got to be cheap and simple enough to print.

I will connect the legs and add a few more spokes. Yep, it's TOO simple right now.

I see sperm when I look at it.

I really like the idea and use of colors.  I might enhance the images a bit more.  What about a crank or a cassette cog for the bike--something that is a bit more identifiable.

What is it with all you guys and seeing sperm?!

Thanks! I really like the idea of a cog instead.

If I can add...
I am not sold on the font...
I know you said it looks best... but I would suggest relooking at your options.
I like the swim, bike, run icons...
and the words in different colors work too.. its just the font is looking a bit old fashioned to me.

My comments are just confirming what you already know...

"Oh and Comic Sans is totally overused"

"Thinking about making the lettering bigger and graphics smaller"

Honestly, the whole thing just looks very outdated.   I get the wave for the swim, but the bike wheel looks like a pie, not a wheel.  Not sure about the arrows for the run.  Don't think that fits.

I think it is genius just the way it is. I personally don't like logos that are easy to figure out.
In fact I am very impressed.

Suggestions:

- As mentioned above, cog and maybe cranks instead of wheel (or maybe make the wheel more like a HED3)

- Make the tear drop shapes more like bike seats

- Brighter/bolder colors

I think it's a great idea! But, like others have said, I would change the bike symbol. It actually looks like a volleyball to me. I think the cog idea is great, or adding more spokes. I like the different colors too! Let us know what the end product looks like!

How about a running shoe or foot instead of the legs?  I also think more spokes on the wheel or use a cog... the wave looks good, but another parallel wave might be nice... love the colors/size, etc...

I think there should be two waves for swim, add some more spokes or crank to wheel and connect the runners legs. Then it would perfect!

Way to go for organizing a club!

I, too,  think the wheel looks a bit like a ball.

Might you rotate the legs slightly clockwise, to add a feeling of movement?

Just something to think about: I don't know how often you're going to be printing this logo but if you use three colors, I think you'll have to pay for full-color printing.  A two-color (black and another color) logo is cheaper.  Or at least make sure the logo still looks good when you print it in black and white.

Overall it looks great!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to leave comments!!!

I'm going to try different variations based on your suggestions and re-post the final (or final 3 or whatever).

Again, this isn't a "forever" logo ... it's a Yanti-is-not-a-graphic-designer and we just need a dofer logo. (As in "do fer now" ...)

Thanks again

Just my opinion and I reserve the right to be wrong.
As others have said, more spokes, and Cog for the bike and add one more wave for the swim, I would also use full circles rather thatn the droplet / sperm shape. I would also have then intersect / over lap
