Love my ultra 2.0s - run sockless in races with them. Found them for about 60 percent off at onetri.com

Last year I trained and raced in the Energy and LOVED them. This year I'm trying out the Ultra Speed (the ones with no laces at all - they are like a glorified swim sock) - so far, they are fabulous.

First season with a pair of Zoots, Advantage.  I'm just using them as race shoes.  So far, so good.  I've gone without socks in 3 races, plus a few training runs, and haven't had any trouble.  Nothing over 5 miles, however I think they'd be comfortable for longer.

I have a good amount of time on my Ultra TT 2.0s and here are my thoughts:

Heel pull tab: comes up too high for my liking on the ankle and took a while to get used to.  I still use some glide to prevent rubbing, but after a while your foot gets used to it.

It took a few runs to get used to sockless running, especially with feet that sweat a ton.  I found that for me I was over tightening them, as soon as I started making them looser, any blisters went away.

They are great shoes, about to retire the first pair to casual shoes after a good washing.

I have the energy's, love them now.
I had a little trouble with heel rubbing, but seemed to be my arch support insoles that I added, back to the zoot insoles and no more issues.
All my running is sockless, 9 miles furthest I've run in them and no problems.

I've put about 30 miles on my Advantages and I absolutely love them.   I've always run sockless anyways, but these are beyond comfy.

I did all my races in 2010 with TT 3.0 and I love them. 3xHIM and several Oly and short races always with them. Unfortunately I had to drop the idea to use them because I have a cronical Achilles pain and those shoes are very bad for Achilles tendonitis.
I went back to Asics Noosa and I got the new model.

Be careful with the heel because those shoes are very unique on the heel design: very soft and thick. I showed them to the physioterapist and he explained me (quite complicated) why I should not use them due to my Achilles weakness.
