Desoto Speedtube T1 Wetsuit Bottom

I own one and I have used it without the Speedvest (although I own that too).

I used it alone during MiamiMan last year. The water is always right at 78F degrees every year and after feeling too hot during the swim in 2008, I opted to just use the Tube for the 2009 event.  The Tube has a heavy duty drawstring at the waist allowing you to cinch it very tightly.  Wearing the Tube alone definitely provides added buoyancy to the legs and is really great for those swims that are just 'barely' wetsuit legal.

Although I didn't see anyone else wearing the Tube alone besides myself, I did see a few of the 'super fast' folks wearing custom made wetsuit 'shorts'-- so similar idea, just shorter.
