Cool, good to see that everyone is so pumped!

I'm almost there.....

Swim - 3550/2500 - 142%
Bike - 184/200 - 92%
Run - 33.5/40 - 83%

I'm REALLY happy with my swim. I'm not much of a swimmer, but getting to my challenge goal really helped me appreciate the water a lot more. I even bought a punch card to my local pool, and talked to the masters coach about maybe joining their morning swims. All thanks to BT and of course, Team Thunderbird. You guys rock!

Keep on rockin it all the way to the end!

I`ve been sick the past few days, went to the doctor, and he wrote me a prescription for:

MORE COWBELL!

Bike and walk are getting real close, but the swim is still lacking due to all of the surf time I`ve put in. Might get close.

I am in the clubhouse with Autumn! I ordered a Heath Bar Blizzard from the bar.

Finished the challenge today with a 2 mile indoor run because of thunderstorms. I love running indoors on a rubber track with air conditioning. Since the conditions were so perfect, I decided to make the last mile special and I did a PR of 7:30:61 for the last mile.

Great challenge and and awesome team, so finish up and join us in the clubhouse.

I've got just under 11 miles left on the run after my nice run today..

Thats three more days.. and one of them is a rest day.. I'd blow off that rest day if i didn't have a tri next weekend.. (who knows.. maybe i'll squeeze an easy run in)

One more swim that will end up being enough.. (I'll make it enough )

I'm home on the bike..

so.. how did these rules work again?
Will I be able to make up the run goal that I didn't meet with the bike goal I went over on?

anyway..
GOOD JOB to you birds who are in the clubhouse!! I'll do my best to join you in theses next three days!!

i'm almost there so far:

Bike: 13hr 45min/16 hr 86% might make it
Run: 9hr 45min/10 hr 98% done tomorrow
Pool Swim: 16hr/16hr 100% woo hoo!!!
Open Water: 3hr 30min/4hr 88% done tomorrow

i had a really hard swim workout yesterday and an all 3 day today. i have a 30 minute open water tomorrow morning and a 5k race at night so that will put me at 100% for both of swims and bike. i will get a long ride in on sunday morning, but that will only be an hour and a half. if i feel ok, i'll try to do a recovery spin dvd that night and that would be 45 min and then my bike will be 100% also. hope all is good with everyone else

Actual...15855 yards (Home!!!!!!!!!!)

Bike
Goal...240 miles
Actual...210 miles

Run
Goal...120 miles
Actual...108 miles

I didn't anticipate doing a race this wkend. It's my first Oly so I really had to stick with my mini taper training schedule. The above figures include my race miles...

I hope I don't drag us too far down!

Woo Hoo!!! Just got back from the pool and finished out the months goals with that ever so fun aqua running!! I thought I had another 3 miles to go (which I still plan on doing tomorrow), but when I checked my log - I'm actually finished!! I've already put my name in for next months challenge and will set goals for that on Monday - Are we going to keep our team pretty intact??

Great job everyone!

Tomorrow is the day of reckoning, is everyone ready? Personally, I have a three mile run tomorrow and a twenty mile bike ride, which will put me over my goals for the month.

So, either tomorrow night or Monday morning please post your July totals.

Unfortunately, I will not be joining the August challenge as I am going on a long vacation and have some other things I need to get done. I will be rejoining in September, however, ready to kick some more butt. September is also when my very first tri is! Eek!

Have a great finish to the month, Birds!

As of 7/31:

Swim 17500/25000 - couldn`t make it, too much surfing and couldn`t risk a shoulder injury
Bike 406/400- Made it!
Walk 605min/600- Made it!

2 out of 3, but I`m very happy with this training month.

Go Birds.

Well, with my run this morning I officially made my goals, just in the nick of time! Here's my totals:

Swim - 3550/2500 - 142%
Bike - 201/200 - 100%
Run - 41.7/40 - 104%

YAY! Now I guess the next step is to just set some personal goals for this next month. Sorry I won't be able to join the challenge, but hopefully I can come back in September, depending on how GRE and grad school applications are coming along.

Thanks for being such a great team, and awesome job on all your hard work!

Well, I have been soooo busy between trying to make my goals and everything else going on right now that I have hardly had time to post my progress. I made 2/3 goals, but actually did better than I expected. I knew that the biking and running were going to be hard goals to make and I almost set my running goal for 20 miles. Instead I pushed it to 25 miles and wound up missing that goal...oh well My official numbers are:

Bike: 101/100 miles = 100%
Run: 20.75/25 miles= 83%
Swim: 7300/6000 = 121%

Great job to everyone that participated!!!! I had a blast, but I'm exhausted. I think I'll take a nap

Run 57.3/54 106%

This month really got me focused on balancing out my training. I had been way over focused on the bike and I got back into a well rounded program. Very pleased with results and enjoyed being on this team. I am skipping next month's challenge as I have some work life balance issues to resolve but I will be back. No slacking, I will be watching you guys from the shadows.

Thanks,

ken

Whew - this month went by fast!! I finished out the month with a good swim today - I think my stroke is improving and that is so motivating. Anyway - here are my stats:

Bike:132.44 Mi
Run: 36.7 Mi
Swim: 12800 M

I made over 100% in all of them....I guess I'm going to have to up my goals for next month - everything except the running that is...for that I'm going to try and see a chiropractor, massage therapist and a pt to see what I can do to get this hip back in running form. I also borrowed the book CHI running from the library and am slowly reading through it to see if their is something I can do to improve my form - injuries suck!!!
