Thank you Tri Challenge!! (and mp3 player)

earbud question in gear forum: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...

I decided last week that I felt a little too good after my long run so I decided to extend it this week.

Back in January I was having to break my runs up into 8 min chunks in order to finish it..

Yesterday I ran for 59min 23 seconds without stopping!! (it would have been a full hour but I pushed hard for the last 3/4 mile to make it to the end ) It ended up being 4.85 miles at 12:12 min miles.

It's still pretty slow but I feel so much better now that I am seeing great improvments in my base endurance. I will probably continue to do primarily base runs until maybe the end of this season and then start to work on my speed and tempo.

Thanks for the help everyone!! I'm actually starting to enjoy running!!!

woooohoooooo

will

You can get over slow (to a point) but endurance is a wonderful and hard won thing! Congratulations!
