Swim
Comments: I was slower than usual on the swim today by at least 10 minutes. The course sure seemed long and heard numerous comments on this from other racers. Not sure if the course was too long or not. What would you do differently?: Swim faster Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Went out a little too fast on the first 20k and started cramping in my hamstrings at about 22k. Had to pull over and stretch for a minute or two and take it easy for a few minutes. What would you do differently?: Pace a little better. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Ran pretty well and was able to pass a number of racers that killed me on the swim. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Was still getting over the cold and eye infection I picked up last week following the Grand Haven tri. Suprisingly it didn't effect me as much as I thought it would. Once I got out of the water I felt pretty good. Event comments: Great location for the race. Took the family and spent a long weekend camping. Had a great time although we did all manage to pickup swimmers itch from the lake. Evidently this is quite common at Duck and Green lakes. I really enjoyed this race although the hill on the run course was not a whole lot of fun. Last updated: 2005-07-18 12:00 AM
