Drove to the pond early.

I felt terible on the run. THis is my slowest 5k run ever. I drank too much before hand and did an LT run 2 days before and my legs were very tired. I was also side cramping a lot.
What would you do differently?:

Noot drink so much before or run a race pace workout 2 days before.
