Subject: Looking for group in CT
Hello there! I'm really new at this whole triathalon thing- infact I just started the running work out section about 2 weeks ago but I'm in fairly good condition to begin with. Currently I am a student at Quinnipiac University in CT, and I am home for the summer... but since I decided so late in the summer to begin to train it was too late to find a group here in MA. I'm hoping to be able to hook up with some people down at school to help motivate and hopefully teach me more about the race, and then of course just to make MORE friends!! I'm trying to do other searches online for groups but sofar haven't come up with anything yet! Hope to hear from someone...anyone...soon! thanks
sarah

Hi Sarah,

you might want to check out these 2 Tri clubs in CT:

Shoreline Sharks Multisport Team  http://www.eteamz.com/shorelinesharks/

Conneticut Area Triathletes http://www.catstri.com

I've been considering joining one of them myself, but I think I will wait till next spring, since I have my wife to train with.    Have fun!

You know, I felt the same way when I started--and to an extent still do--but I have found that most people would prefer to go a little slower on occasion and have someone to train with.

So, don't worry about how fast/slow you are because if someone agrees to meet up with you and train, they aren't going to worry about it. They are just going to be happy to meet you and train with someone!

Now, you want in on the group ride a few of us are trying to organize here in CT the weekend of 10/29?
