Subject: Favorite ANT+ computer for speed and cadence only?
I'm in the market for an ANT+ compatible computer for the bike.  I don't need GPS, power or heart rate monitoring.  Speed and cadence only (I have the chainstay mounted Duotrap cadence sensor in my Madone).

I don't need GPS - Cyclemeter on the iPhone has been working well for that purpose.  I can't wait for more affordable power meter options, but until then I don't do power.  I tried heart rate monitoring as a runner and moved away from it rather quickly.  As a result, I'm looking for a bare bones computer that will meet my basic needs.

Anyone have a recommendation that's been working well?

About the best I can think of would be  Garmin Forerunner 50, it can pick up ANT+ speed/cadence.  Sure it can do HR, but it saves you on the GPS side of things.  I am not aware of much better for the cost without jumping to the FR 305.

The price is right but I should have mentioned that I'm looking for a handlebar mounted unit.  I use Nike+ for tracking the runs and the BIG clock at the pool for my swims (open water is rare in Oregon in the chilly months!).

Says it's no in stock, but maybe somewhere else?

I think you're going to have a hard time finding ant+ without GPS or other features. Garmin 500 or just get a wireless bike computer that does speed and cadence, no need for ant+

I believe they make a handlebar mount for it as well, could use it in a race in all 3 sports if you wanted, but the trek mentioned above is about the only other option I believe

How about the Garmin FR60. It's a watch, but there is a handlebar mount
It's waterproof so you can swim with it.
You can get a footpod and it's pretty accurate for the run
I picked one up for $80 something a few weeks back with HR monitor.
PM me if you want the details, I could dig them up but saw the advert here on beg tri

I use the Bontrager Node 2.  It works great.

I have a Bontrager Node 1 - similar to Node 2 but cheaper and has less stuff like altimeter, etc. Works very well.
