Subject: Hilliard Area Triathlon Group
Please check our website at www.eaglemultisport.com
We are a small group of triathletes in the Hilliard area, looking to expand. We usually meet at the Heritage Rails to Trails Bike Path on Saturday mornings for a long run, and get together for dinner at least once a month. Many of us are planning to do the Muncie Ironman 70.3 race in July, and enjoy a group road trip. Group experience ranges from complete beginners to some who have gone or are planning to go the Ironman distance.
As the weather improves in the spring, we'll add more group activities.
It's always more fun to train when you don't have to train alone!

Welcome to BT. I wish I lived closer to you guys since I could really use some people to train with. Keep me updated for weekend group rides. I am training for my first half distance race at Great Buckeye Challenge.

Hey guys - I'm a newbie so looking for all the advice possible.
I will check out the website, but live in Hilliard and use Heritage Trail regularly.
Look forward to meeting you soon.
I could use some swim coach, etc advice.  Just starting to get in pool after MANY years and need some form advice.

Look forward to meeting everyone.  I have some other friends that might join also.
Kristin

Anytime you want to swim, I love the pool!  Of course, I'm on the injured reserve list for the next 2 weeks.

Kathleen, I just got your message on here.  I will take you up on that swim time.  I am just starting swimming... I need all the help I can get.

I will look you up on facebook, so I can check on your "clearance"

Cliff,

Thanks for the advice but I'm at Urban Active/Hilliard now and I don't think I can afford both.  I will see about drop ins.

Hi Cliff.  I believe I met your wife last week in the pool at the YMCA.  She had mentioned the morning swims as I am in desperate need of help.  I'm very new to Triathlons.  I just started training specifically for it last week and visit the Y 4-5 days a week.  The Tri I'm signing up for is the Wendy's Triathlon June 12th.  It is part of the YMCA Corporate Challenge.  Any advice would be great!

Thanks!
Laurie

Kristin - they do have a non-member option, but I think it's pretty expensive.  Have fun at UA!  Hopefully we will meet on the trail someday.

Laurie - my wife told me she about you.  Wendy's is a great first tri.  I would definitely recommend the master's group.  I was a really bad swimmer when I started two years ago.  Now I am just bad    It has cut my swim time by over half.

There are normally some triathletes that start up in March.  Stop in some morning in Feb and see if you like it.

As triathletes we're often chomping at the bit to race but our water is warm until mid-June.  I just started a multi-sport race company for that very reason (and the fact that I hate having to schlep far for a race).

If you're looking for an early season race but don't want to go far from home, I'm managing a duathlon on April 10 starting at Hilliard Darby High School, utilizing the Hilliard Rail/Trail and biking around the 'hood.  There will be sprint & Olympic length races.  It should be good!
