Woke up and had a cliff bar, then had a slice of bread w/ some pb before the race!!!

Felt really good on the swim. No rocks, or nothing!!! Finally hit my goal of under 9:00mins. I clocked myself right when I got out at 8 mins and some seconds!! WOW then I had to run up the hill!!!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, maybe have a wetsuit!!

Walked around, cheered on a friend of mine that was doing her first tri!! And she place in her age group!!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing to much, maybe my foot!! but not really

Great race, and man do the people show for this race. It felt great riding into town and people were lined up on the street!!! THANK YOU

Impressive performance Gretchen! My swim last year was well over 10 minutes. Your bike speed is nothing to sneeze at either. Wasn't it nice to bring home some hardware? BTW I notice you have cracked the top ten in the series. This race will certainly move you up.

The town really goes all out for this race. I am guessing that there are half as many volunteers as participants. The locals also like to show up and watch as well. Most know some of the participants, but there are those that just like to show up and marvel at the spectacle.

Nice to finally meet you as well. Wish I had more time to chat, but work was beckoning.
