Subject: Hip replacement recovery
Been 8 weeks since total hipreplacement (left) and have been given okay by doc to resume normal movements. The first 8 weeks there are restrictions such as no crossing legs, no going above hip with knee(90degree) but was walking and climbing stairs in days. Now without those restrictions will be working out stiffness and building strength. Should be on bike and swimming in a week. Running however is going to be on hold for awhile, and when able will keep it at a low. They do not recommend running on hip relacements but it can be done at low level to keep longevity of replacement. Hopefully it last atleast 15yrs and by then newer and better techniques and replacements will improve. There is hope  look how far they have come in the last 15yrs.
