I was wondering if anyone has done this race? Or maybe doing this race this year? I am thinking of this being my first triathlon and just wanted some insight. Thanks in advance!

I might be doing this as well.  It is very local for me.

I was planning on doing this event this year.  I had signed-up last year but injured my left Achilles Tendon in April (2010) so running was no longer an option.

Just did the Race on the Base in February and it felt good to be out again.

Thanks for the replies, it is good to know there is a big hill on the course.

Monkey Business, good luck this year and glad to hear you were able to get back out there!?

Did it 2 years ago, fun race but its good to be a fast runner because its a very crowded bike course.

It was my very first Tri. I did this one several years ago because I couldn't swim but I figured it was only 100 yards. Easier yet, it was a 25 meter pool so I could rest at each end. The "hill" that everyone mentioned is steep at the turnaround but it's not a killer. The rest of the course is really flat. It was well organized and the transition area was on grass. I haven't made it back because the dates conflicted with my Triathlon/Cycling event schedule but I hope to go back this year.
