I am new at this whole triathlon racing but it is something that I have always dreamed of doing for years. My first race is a half-triathlon in 29 Palms California in October so we will see how it goes. I plan on going to watch the LA Triathlon on Sept. 11th for some added motivation to myself and support for the racers!!!!!

Wow...three tours...thanks for your service. Really.

Good luck in the half Iron-man. I'm sure with your military service getting in shape will be much easier.

Zak man,

You rock. Three tours in Iraq. Holy Moly! Thanks so much for your service and thanks for joining B.T.com. After Iraq tris shouldn't be a problem hey you probably already know how to hydrate in the heat. Ha.

Glad to see you're tri'ing and let us know if you need anything.

Triathlons are both mentally and physically challanging. It sounds like you have already met mental and physical challanges most of us will never know. Thank you.
