Subject: Fort Yargo Xterra Results

Anyone seen full results for this race yet? Wondering what the winning time was like...I know I was no where near it, but just curious how fast it was. So far no results that I can find on Gone Racing's website.

Thanks.

The winner was like 10 min faster than me and I went 1:41.  He was a pro I believe.  His swim time was right at 10 min.  Flying!

That was my first Xterra and it was probably the hardest triathlon I've done in recent memory.  Totally different than an on-road tri.

In other words, Coach Dan wasn't able to draft   8)

Wow, 10 min swim. Outstanding. If the men's winner went 1:30'ish, I was right in saying I was no where near that time. To think I was happy going sub 2 hours. Could have easily shaved 10 minutes if I could just get myself comfortable riding singletrack in a crowd. Too passive in my passing others. Something to work on before the Pelham race. Thanks for the info.

In years past it has taken them a couple days to get them posted. If I remember correctly... they'll probably be up by the end of the day Tuesday. The RD also did the mountain bike race on Sunday and they're out of Florida (I think) so it takes them a little longer.

I felt like I was going backwards on that ride!  I have never heard "on your left" so many times in my life.

Ft. Yargo was my first tri, back in 2008. Boy, was that a rude awakening. I always thought I was in pretty decent shape...until I did that XTerra race.

I was LAST out of the water, by 5 minutes, only managed to pass 3 or 4 ppl on the MTB (all 55+ AGs), and then another 4 or 5 ppl on the trail run.

I took 3x as long as the winner to finish that race...and placed something like 240/257! I can't remember. I was quite humbled during and after I finished.

I can't wait to do it again...I just wish it wasn't on the same weekend as John Tanner!
