What a godawful day.  They had to cancel the bike leg because the wind made it too dangerous.

Hats off to them for running an organized, friendly race in spite of it all.

I originally planned to do this one but couldn't fit it into my schedule.  That was some ugly weather to be out in.  Sorry to hear they cancelled the bike leg though.

I was there. Bummed out since it was my first TRI and they canceled the bike portion. But I am glad I went and learned a lot. Hats off for the volunteers, they did a great job in that lousy weather.

I would agree that the weather was horrible but the race was fun.  My first tri as well.  Had a horrible start to the run, couldn't breath with tight back muscles due to weather and swim transition.  At least that is my excuse Laughing.

Yup....I was supposed to be there and was all packed and ready to go when I woke up at 4:00am.  Looked out the window and saw the trees whipping away and the ground still wet.  I was still coming off being congested and with a sore throat, but I figured I would HTFU and just do it if the ground wasn't too bad. 

Decided not to do it and just save my health (and riding in the dangerous conditions).  With the bike leg canceled I don't feel so bad now.  Glad my money went to a good cause though.....
