LOL!

That was you. What a small world.

I kept thinking to myself...."will you leave those damn cones alone because you're running at a good pace"

Hey BP, I wonder I was the 35 year old you were pacing the run with? I'm the girl in your second shot (turquoise with the bike). I kept stopping to pick up cones though. LOL.

It was an awesome race and I'm pleased that I beat last year's time by four minutes. I think the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

It became an obsession! I was afraid someone was going to trip over one.

Have to say this was my worst and best race ever.

For me it was a DNF.  Flatted on the bike, went to change the tube and blew that one too.  If anyone saw someone just past the 5 mile mark on the side fixing a flat that was me.  Ended up getting a ride from a really nice dude from Michigan State.  This was my ninth triathlon and my first DNF.  Guess it was bound to happen.

On the other hand, my 12 year old daughter did awesome in her first tri.  Although she did lose her timing chip like 10 seconds into the swim, they still recorded her time and she finished in 1:20:20.  We don't know her split times but my father in law roughly timed her 5k at 24 minutes.  She did that time on a hybrid bike to boot.  She finished 3rd in her age group.  I have to say I had tears in my eyes watching her go up and get her medal.  However whats even better is she loved doing it and wants to do more.  Now I can count doing triathlons as quality family time.

Great job everyone! It's always great to see the BT crew and the RACING GREYHOUNDS.  I'm not sure we could have had a better day for the event.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone some more this summer!

Sorry to hear about the DNF, I was the guy in the Haiwiian shirt who ask if you were ok. I DNF less than 100m into the swim last year with a torn shoulder and had to drop out of the swim.

On the up side, kudos to your daughter, nothing better than sharing what you love with your family. My wife runs 5Ks with me and has decided I need to teach her how to ride bike for a race and my 5 yr old daughter runs Kid's Miles. It is a great feeling to be able to share what you love with those you love.

Look forward to seeing you both next year.
